This patcher updates ColorSet Calibration 1.0.0 to a new alpha version of ColorSet, version 1.0.0a. The improved functionality of this alpha release will be built into future releases of ColorSet.
ColorSet 1.0.0a fixes several obscure problems and offers improved compatibility and reliability with System 7.5, with future color management system components, and with several Apple hardware configurations.
DayStar Digital recommends making a copy of your original ColorSet Calibration application before patching, in case anything goes wrong during the patch operation (power failures, etc.). ColorSet Calibration is installed in the Apple Menu Items folder, which is located inside the System folder on your startup disk. To apply the patch, double–click on the icon for the patcher. You will be prompted to turn off any virus detection software, and to locate the ColorSet Calibration application. Navigate to the Apple Menu Items folder, select the ColorSet Calibration application and press the ((Patch)) button in the patcher dialog. The patch will be applied, and the patcher will quit. Remember to remove or delete the copy you made of the original ColorSet Calibration application after the patch has been successfully applied.
You do not have to re–calibrate or re–characterize your display after you update ColorSet Calibration unless you have not been able to do so in the past due to problems between ColorSet and your hardware or software configuration.
DayStar Digital would like to ensure your success with and enjoyment of ColorMatch and its associated suite of tools. If you have any questions on the operation of ColorMatch, ColorSet, or Colorimeter 24, or on this update, please feel free to call us at 404.967.8141.
